From a photograph to useful context.
PlantDex combines Pl@ntNet, Wikipedia and GBIF APIs for identification, species information, imagery and occurrence maps. The time-boxed prototype includes validation for non-plant inputs, incomplete responses and network failures, alongside caching and offline fallback data. The project won first place at the Athens Hackathon in June 2026.
